Offline Baby Tracker keeps everything on your device. It has no servers, no account, and makes no network calls. We never receive, see, or store your data — because there is nowhere for it to be sent.
The short version
There is no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind in the app. The only data that ever leaves your phone is data you explicitly export or back up, to a destination you choose.
What the app stores (on your device only)
You can record, and the app stores locally on your device only:
- Baby profile(s): name, date of birth, sex, due date (for adjusted age).
- Care events: feeds, sleep sessions, diapers, measurements (weight, length, head), temperature, medications, vaccines, and illness notes — each with the time logged and any notes you add.
- Your preferences: units, theme, reminder and backup settings.
All of this is written to a single private file in the app's own storage sandbox. It is not shared with us or any third party.
What we collect: nothing
We do not collect, transmit, receive, sell, or share any personal data. Specifically, the app contains:
- No user account or sign-in — you never give us an email, name, or password.
- No analytics or telemetry. No advertising or ad identifiers. No crash-reporting SDK.
- No third-party SDKs that collect data.
- No network/internet permission on Android, and no network requests on any platform. It runs in airplane mode.
Because the app cannot send data off the device, we have no logs, no database, and no copy of your information anywhere.
Data you choose to send off the device
The app stays offline unless you deliberately use one of these features:
- PDF report export & share. You can generate a PDF (e.g. for a pediatric visit) and share it through your device's standard share sheet. Where it goes next is your choice, handled under that service's own privacy terms.
- Backup & restore. You can save a backup file to a folder you choose. If you pick a folder synced to a cloud service you control, that copy travels there at your direction and is governed by that provider's policy — not ours. If you pick on-device storage, the backup never leaves the phone. We never see these backups.
Device permissions
The app requests the minimum needed, and only when you opt in: notifications (for the local, on-device reminders you turn on yourself) and exact alarms (so a reminder fires at the right time). No push server is involved and no data leaves the device. The app does not request location, contacts, microphone, camera, or photo access, and declares no advertising or tracking permissions.
Children's privacy
The app is a tool for parents and caregivers to record information about their own child; it is not directed to or used by children. Because no data is ever transmitted to us or anyone else, no information about you or your child is collected by us. This design is consistent with the goals of COPPA and the GDPR provisions on children's data.
Retention, deletion & your rights
Your data lives on your device for as long as you keep it. You can edit or delete any single event from the History screen, delete everything by removing the app or clearing its data, and delete any backups you created yourself. Privacy rights under the GDPR and CCPA (access, correct, export, delete) are satisfied directly on your device — there is no account to close and no server-side copy to request. We do not sell or share your data; we never receive it.
This website
The website embodies the same promise as the app. It sets no cookies, runs no third-party advertising or tracking pixels, and does not collect personal data. Where we measure visits, we use a cookieless, privacy-respecting analytics tool that records no personal data and needs no consent banner. The store-badge links carry only campaign attribution parameters so we can see which installs came from the site.
